David Natale is an American actor who arrives to the Netherlands, touring with his theatre show 'Westerbork serenade 'http://westerborkserenade.com/ (the tour is produced by Xaviera Hollander, who will also be present) David will tell about the process of creating the show and the concept of 'sculpting' the stage, where the audience sees in their minds' eyes all the characters, the rooms and landscapes. A truly amazing experience! The talk will include bits and songs from the play.
Erga will tell us about the
current documentary she is producing 'Swing Me to the End of Life, Echoes of Johnny and Jones' (http://www.swingmejohnnyandjones.com/) and bits from the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival musical production of 'Meneer Dinges'.

The performers
Muli Shulman
Muli Shulman is a graduate of the NISAN NATIV ACTING STUDIO in Tel Aviv, 2000. Since then he has been performing in repertoire and fringe theatre throughout Israel.
Works with animation, as a dubber, voice director and translator.
Currently directing "Mr. Kolpert"/David Giessselman at TMUNA theatre in Tel Aviv, as part of the "German season".
Performed with various improv groups in Israel and abroad since 2001.
Inbal Lori
Inbal Lori is a graduate of Jerusalem art high school 1994 and Nisan Nativ acting studio (2000). Since then she has been writing for television, theatre and films. Inbal took part in a few fringe groups and a one woman shows. These days she is also giving improv and acting workshops. She won a scholarship for playwriting at the American Israeli foundation and the "open screen" festival of Beit Lessin theatre. Inbal won "best performer" 2008 of the Israeli Fringe Festival for her one woman show- 'The Woman I Could Have Been' which was also a big success in Amsterdam last year.

Rod Ben Zeev
Rod Ben Zeev began his impro career performing with retirees in Chicago while staging an underground two man show in Chicago’s subway. Since then he has performed and taught on four continents including impro festivals in Amsterdam, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Florence and Tel Aviv. Rod also loves improvising when he cooks dinner.
Ben Silburn
Ben started writing and performing comedy while at University. Spurred on by the overwhelming positive reaction from the audience (ie small groups of his friends) he felt compelled to push it further. He joined the Cambridge Footlights and went on to perform in numerous comedy shows with partners Will Ing and Dan Gaster - including five years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He writes and presents for BBC Radio and Television (BBC World's "Fast Track"), which would be great except he lives in Amsterdam. Ben spends a lot of his time on planes.
Lieselotte Nooyen
From Latvia, through Israel, back to the US and to the Netherlands, Lieselotte performed her much sought impro art everywhere. Singing, characters, in-depth, humor: she has got it all. At 2007 Lieselotte made it even to the finals of the Dutch improvisation championship!

Het lot voorzien en de toekomst voorspellen aan de hand van de hemelslichamen en hun beweging was in de oudheid populair van Babylonië en Egypte tot in Rome. Het Jodendom beschouwt astrologie echter als hét voorbeeld van idolatrie. Toch werden óók synagogen in de late oudheid met mozaïeken van de dierenriem versierd, naast personificaties van de zon en de seizoenen. Ter gelegenheid van het Joods Nieuwjaar wordt in deze lezing aandacht geschonken aan astrologische voorstellingen in de oudheid, de kalender en de symboliek van de dierenriem binnen de joodse kunst.

Pragt: Exodus, mythe of werkelijkheid?Groest 71, Hilversum, 16:00 
Op zondag 25 april 2010 verzorgt de Hilversumse kunsthistorica en klassiek archeologe Diklah Zohar een lezing in Hilversum over de over de invloed van de Egyptische beschaving op de Romeinse cultuur.
De fascinatie met de Egyptische cultuur zien wij meestal als een recent fenomeen. Duidelijk blijkt dat al vóór de verovering van Egypte door Octavianus-Augustus ook de Romeinen beïnvloed waren door de religie, cultuur en kunst van de oude Egyptenaren. Hoe keken de Romeinen naar Egypte en welke invloeden namen ze graag over? Hebben alle Egyptisch gerelateerde voorstellingen buiten Egypte een religieuze functie of kunnen ze ook anders worden geïnterpreteerd? De antwoorden op deze vragen worden belicht door middel van de bekende Nijlmozaïek van Palestrina (Praeneste), mozaïeken in Israël (Sepphoris, Beth Shean), muurschilderingen uit Pompeii en Herculaneum, tempels, beelden en kerken uit de late oudheid.
